1.11.2017 - Much like a Dormant Plant...

Given a good dose of sunshine - I start to bloom, and I confess that with the weather we've had this week, I've started to push forth glassy blossoms in all sorts of transparent colors.

Sitting in the deck last night with the fire pit ablaze... heavenly.

We all know what happens every year in the springtime... yours truly cannot keep her hands off the transparent glass (In fact, I think I was meant to work solely in transparents).  As far as living in Texas - just about anything goes when it comes to weather.  Even just last night we had dinner on the deck, with our feet propped up on the edge of the fire pit.  It was about 66 degrees early evening...

Last week, I felt a certain pride because we (Texas) were commiserating with the rest of the country and were suffering through temperatures in the 20s, after all - it IS January.  I no longer had to feel a sense of guilt because it was almost 80 here!  Well, guess what.  It's almost 80 here this week - and because of this temperature shift - I find myself drawn to the glittering purity of the eager transparent glass rods

I guess what I'm saying is that today I realized that my very favorite beads from this week were the transparents - and I'm so much more inclined to make more with the nicer weather.  NOW... for those of you who are cursing me... know that this weekend the temps are supposed to drop again, back into the not-so-nice range.  AND, I WILL... most likely... be working in opaque colors again. : (  Upside down smiles - Jill
