in an effort to re-energize my passion for transparent glass I am bringing these images from Dale Chihuly's installation at the Dallas Arboretum some five or so years ago... I saw such beauty in the form... but found fun in some other aspects.
above, of course, the transparency and glittering allowed by sunshine.... below - the lens of the glass and optical play of what lies beyond.
The day was still and some portions of the exhibit was floating on a small pond. This allowed for double the delight, from boatloads of delight.
The stillness was beautiful, and even the dragonfly was appreciative!
A few days into the exhibit - there was a freak hail storm... only a few of the elements were broken!! smiles, Jill
